Wow, it's been a while. I continue to write my newsletter and tweet (you can check out my tweets on the side of this page, btw) so I haven't exactly gone quiet, but I pulled back from writing both here and in my personal blog. For a long time, I've felt I had no additional words... no new insights... in short nothing to want to take up you time with.

However, recently I've found the words coming back to me. Having spent the last few years juggling my parents illnesses, I've been focusing any additional efforts there. With the death of my father this spring and the taking over the logistics of my mother's care, I find the log jam in my brain begin to clear.

I find that I am as passionate about the importance of great communications skills in the work as ever. In fact, I believe that they become more and more important as we lose our ability to connect verbally (actually speaking on the phone and not just texting) and face to face. We need to remember that communication skills become rusty with lack of use.

I am as always passionate about creating workplaces and communities where people regardless of responsibility, treat others with respect and dignity.

I believe I am on a journey of discovery and will share my insights as I continue.
